What a great experience! We were thinking we had to decide between 2 bathroom projects but Miguel offered options that helped us be able to do both!  So happy with the results. Miguel communicated promptly in all instances. He took immediate action when an issue arose. His team worked right thru the weekend (impressive) to complete the repair of our flooded basement in six days. This included repairing drywall, replacing moulding and a complete paint job of the entire space. I was very happy with his work and work ethic. I thought his pricing fair. Like many in Asheville, we had damage from Helene in our finished basement. We hired friends to help remodel it, but it was taking longer than expected and we were scheduled to move into the house. We got quotes from multiple people, and Miguel was really reasonable and responsive. If we were unhappy with anything, he would fix it immediately. He also has a great eye for design and would help me choose things like grout color or provide feedback on my choice in tile. Basement area: He and his team added flooring to the entire downstairs area, painted, installed new fans, and finished the tile shower downstairs. We liked the work so much that we used him for several other projects. The silver grout he suggested for the shower was the best choice! We get so many compliments on this space. Master bathroom: They had to completely gut the bathroom to make it a more useable space. They increased the shower size, added new tile, and built new shelving in the corner with plenty of storage space, You can see the before and after photo from the outdated blue tile and shower to the tiled corner shower. Guest Bath: New tile vanity, removed and replaced bathtub, lighting, toilet, flooring Basement fireplace: The basement fireplace had a rock wall that included an exhaust for a wood fireplace. It had been replaced by a gas stove, but the eye sore exhaust remained. To finish the basement space, Miguel suggested a rock tile with shelving on either side. It came out beautiful. Living room fireplace: After seeing the downstairs fireplace, we decided to tile the upstairs fireplace and insert a new gas stove. Miguel worked with us and the fireplace installer to make sure everything was up to code. This is by far my favorite project we have done so far. Front porch: This has been an issue for many years now. It crumbles every few years from the stress of the elements and we have had to drop 1000s at a time to repair it. Miguel suggested we use paver tiles since they are meant to withstand heat and ice. He provided suggestions on the type of railing we should use and adding black pavers to make it looks symmetrical since the original pavers weren't large enough to fill the landing. We're happy with everything he's done and his work ethic. He's helped us revitalize this old house into something that is more livable and enjoyable Thanks, Miguel & team!

Couldn’t be more happy with the job done. Very respectful, skilled and cleaned up after the project. I had a zig zag missing floor situation after 2 closets were removed to make one room. No one could’ve imagined how well Miguel was able to seamlessly make the floor look as if it were originally laid that way. I highly recommend New Era. Miguel does a superb job!  His quote was accurate and reasonable.  He finished the job in the time frame he expected and on budget.  He pays attention to detail and doesn’t cut corners.  He problem-solves well any issues that arise.  He communicates often, promptly, and effectively.  His final product is beautiful! We were preparing our house for sail and hired a contractor who promised to do everything in a few weeks, took the money and practically did nothing for several months (promise after promise after promise...). He knew that we were very stressed in time because my wife was already being scheduled for a major surgery in another state where we've bought a condo and we were just loosing money by paying mortgage. Finally we gave up on him and found Miguel (New Era Construction...). He and his guys literally saved us. They did great job inside and outside the house in a short time, and we were able move in our new condo a day before my wife surgery! All the job was done with a great quality (new floors, new stairs, new ceiling, fixing some walls, pressure washing, painting all around, some electrical job, etc.). Our house was sold after being just two days on the market, for even a better price then we were thinking of before! It was a great experience with Miguel and his team. We are very greatfull to him, and highly recommend him as a reliable, highly professional contractor! Plus,  he is a very nice person! Thank you again, Miguel! I can't say enough good things about New Era! I hire lots of vendors across several states and Miguel and his whole crew did a fantastic job quickly and efficiently, at a fair price. Great communication throughout the whole process, and they worked well around our needs to still have some staff in place working, while painting the whole floor of offices top to bottom. Miguel is a customer focused professional that is sure to satisfy your needs. Highly recommended and will absolutely use his services again in the future for repair/paint projects.
